The Lake County General Health District contracts with Ohio Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as the local air agency (LAA) for Lake and Geauga counties.  The Health District maintains ambient air monitoring networks at five locations throughout Lake and Geauga Counties. Currently, we are monitoring for the following criteria pollutants: Particulate Matter of less than 10 microns (PM10), Particulate Matter of less than 2.5 microns (PM 2.5), Sulfur Dioxide (SO2), Ozone (O3) and Carbon Monoxide (CO).

Is today is an Air Quality Advisory day?

Please visit Northeast Ohio Areawide Coordinating Agency (NOACA) for more information.

Below is a list of all criteria pollutants monitored by the Lake County General Health District. Using the data collected, we calculate an Air Quality Index (AQI) for the day.
