The Suicide Prevention Coalition’s Mission Statement is Preventing Tragedy, Healing Lives.
We are a group of community professionals and dedicated persons who are providing education and awareness to the community on depression and suicide in the hopes of preventing the tragedy of suicide. We also offer a free support group for those who have experienced the loss of a loved one or friend, neighbor, or coworker to suicide. This group called Chrysalis meets on the first Tuesday each month from 7p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at St. Andrew’s Church on Little Mountain Road in Mentor. The group is free, non-denominational, and open to adults and older teens.
