The following is a list of nuisance trappers licensed through the Division of Wildlife and/or exterminators that provide trapping, removal, and exclusion of nuisance wild animals in Lake County. All the nuisance trappers listed are private contractors and do charge fees for the services they provide. The Lake County General Health District does not endorse nor recommend any individual listed or make any guarantee about the service they provide.

Nuisance Animals Include:
Raccoons, opossums, squirrels, groundhogs, woodchucks, muskrats, foxes, bats, skunks, weasels, minks, and rabbits.
Problems Concerning:
Hawks, owls, beaver, wild turkeys, white tail deer, and coyotes should be referred to the Wildlife Officer.

Injured/Orphaned Wildlife:
These animals should be left where found. If not practical, all inquiries involving wild mammals/birds should be referred to Lake Metroparks Wildlife Center (440) 256-2131. The Wildlife Center does not accept raccoons, skunks, or bats for rehabilitation.
Animal Bites
Individuals that have been bitten by an animal should immediately contact their physician and the Lake County General Health District at (440) 350-2543. If a pet is bitten by another domestic animal or a wild animal, the owner should contact their veterinarian and report the bite to the Lake County General Health District.
Domestic Animals:
Contact the Lake County Dog Shelter and Warden's Office at (440) 350-2640 regarding dog licensing OR loose dogs, stray dogs at-large, or stray dogs at-large that have bitten someone and need to be captured.
For information about cats or to report animal neglect, cruelty, or abuse contact the Lake County Humane Society at (440) 951-6122.
