Required Qualifications

  • Registered Dietitian, licensed in State of Ohio
  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university in dietetics or related field
  • One to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of  
        education and experience.
  • Must be a current Registered Dietitian with State of Ohio

 

Sample of Duties:

    Provide medical nutrition therapy and nutrition/dietary counseling to children and families in    
    the Health Lifestyle Initiative clinic.

    Provides nutrition and physical activity education through use of pamphlets, video, and classes.

    
Coordinates local partnerships and referral mechanisms for the Health Lifestyle Initiative.

    
Assesses, evaluates, and implements nutrition/physical activity/healthy lifestyle interventions in
    Lake County daycares.

    Evaluate and update health resources and materials on a regular basis so Healthy Lifestyle 
    Initiative program has up-to-date information for staff to use.

    Represent the Lake County General Health District in the promotion of health /nutrition education 
    community projects and events.

    Provide referrals to other Lake County agencies and services

    Assist in the development and submission of competitive grants.

    Other duties as assigned.
